Dial Vitamin Boost Body Wash Review & Giveaway

I recently received a bottle of NEW Dial Vitamin Boost Body Wash to try out and after using it several times in the shower, I have to say, I'm impressed, Dial. You've done well with your lotion infused moisturizing body wash! 

Dial Vitamin Boost Body Wash comes in two different varieties. (I almost typed flavors there because YES it smells good enough to eat!) You can choose from Super C or Amazing B.

I received Amazing B. That's the green bottle. When I opened it up, I was really in love with the scent. It was sweet, but not too sweet and it just honestly smelled delicious. There's a Kiwi on the bottle and the body wash was green, so I am guessing it's Kiwi scented even though I don't often smell kiwis because I'm allergic to them. (Note: This body wash caused NO reaction even though I'm allergic to kiwis. Don't be alarmed!)

The body wash not only smells great, but it's very creamy. The body wash I currently use is nowhere near this creamy.

See? Creamy.

I also think it's pretty, but even pretty things can have purpose. Dial Vitamin Boost Body Wash has a moisturizing vitamin complex that helps draw vitamins and moisture directly to your skin. It's a perfect body wash to use during the winter when we're all dealing with dry skin and since who knows when this winter will end, we should probably stock up!

Vitamin Fact: Vitamin B is a natural humectant that helps draw in moisture and keep skin hydrated!

Purex will pay Make-A-Wish  $.05 per bottle for the first 4 million bottles of 75oz+ liquid detergent sold during the month of February 2014. After 4 million bottles are sold, they will donate $.10 per bottle with a guarantee of  $200,000 with a maximum of $300,000.

Purex will also pay $.08 per bottle of for the first 620,000 bottles of Classic and Ultra Lines in Mountain Breeze and Sweet Lavender fabric softeners sold during the month of February 2014.

Phew. That was a mouth full. Just know that every time you pick up a bottle of Purex in February, you'll be helping Make-A-Wish grant a wish to a child with a life-threatening condition. Yes, buying Purex can help put a smile on a child's face. That's reason enough for me to buy it.

My Purex Experience

I live in West Virginia and we were without water for over a week recently due to a chemical spill. Even after we were given the all clear to use our water, my family is still hesitant to use it and we have been using it sparingly. While we under the "do not use" order, I took clothes to my niece's to wash and we also showered there.

I really didn't know if I wanted to wash our clothes in our water, but after about another week, I had to. Here's what the hamper in my bathroom looked like. Yeah, I was down to my scraggly towels at this point.

About the same time, I got coupons to try out Purex Mountain Breeze detergent. That was a money-saver for me because we'd had so many expenses during this time--buying water, paper plates, traveling back and forth to shower and do laundry--it all adds up.

Of course, Purex did a great job on my towels and they smelled nice, too. I'm still not sure about my water, though! ;)

Febreze Holiday Scents Review & Giveaway

I've been a fan of Febreze products for a long time. I love the fact that Febreze doesn't just cover up a smell. It actually eliminates it. So you don't just get a flowery scent over top of a nasty stench--the nasty stench goes away!

I've been using Febreze Air Effects for ages in my house along with the Fabric Refreshers. I hadn't had the chance to try some of the other products yet, so I was thrilled to receive a package with some of their newer products in new holiday/fall scents to try out. There are scents like Cranberry Cider, Fluffy Vanilla, and Winter Frost that sound absolutely divine!

One of the items I received was a Febreze Noticeable. Febreze Noticeables plug into your outlet and contain two complimentary scents. I received the Cranberry Cider scent which is Apple Cider and Cranberry Treat. I was feeling a little of the holiday spirit, so I plugged it in my living room. Oh my! Did I ever get in the mood for pumpkin pie and turkey! It's funny how scents can do that.

There are certain smells that just remind me of the holidays and bring back memories of holiday dinners and family parties. Immediately, I want to go dig in the attic for my Christmas tree and all my decorations! Cinnamon and cranberry are two of those and you'll get them both from this Noticeable. I also like that the Noticeable isn't TOO strong. It's just enough.

I also received a Set & Refresh. I like it because you just insert a little cartridge in it and the scent is released over time. No worries about having a plug or having to use a candle to get scent into certain rooms of your house.

 

I received this cool little book with my products. It's true different scents bring back memories. For me, it's cinnamon and cranberries. I also am always brought back to December Saturdays with my siblings and cousins making sugar cookies when I smell cookies baking. My mom used to mix up huge batches of sugar cookie dough and invite my cousins over. We'd spend the whole day cutting out cookies and decorating them. More than the taste of the cookies, I remember the fun we all had baking them and just spending time together. It's memories like those that are important--not what you "get" for Christmas.

Seattle's Best Frozen Coffee Blends Review & Giveaway

My son, especially, is a huge fan of the frozen coffee drinks you get at a certain fast food place. They aren't cheap, so when I was offered the opportunity to try Seattle's Best Frozen Coffee Blends, I jumped at the chance. Just add some milk and the Magic Bullet(or your blender) mixes it up perfectly! I added a little caramel sauce to mine just for extra flavor and it was absolutely yummy.

I'm going to have to head back to try some of the other flavors now that I know where to get them. These have been a huge hit around here. My son agrees they taste as good as anything from a fancy coffee house and we didn't have to go wait in line for them.

VTech Roll & Learn Activity Suitcase Review & Giveaway

I recently had the opportunity to review the VTech Roll & Learn Activity Suitcase, so I enlisted my 2 yr old great-niece Kynzi to help me out. VTech toys have been around a long time. My older kids had lots of VTech toys when they were younger. They were always a hit and kept them entertained so they didn't realize they were actually learning!

She loved it! Can't you tell?

The Roll & Learn Activity Suitcase from VTech is packed with activities. Kynzi loved the phone. It comes off the front and you can carry it around. She also enjoyed the light up piano keys. Even though she's on the upper end of the age recommendation at 31 months, there was plenty to keep her busy.

She put some of her other toys inside and closed it up. Then she rolled it around the house and unloaded in the other room. And then she did it again...and again...and again...

As a mom(or aunt in this case) I love that you can put all the pieces inside of the suitcase and close it all up. That means no lost pieces and no stray toys to step on in the middle of the night! I also liked the volume setting. There's a low and high, so if you want it set a little quieter, you can.

The Roll & Learn Activity Suitcase was definitely a hit. I can see a much younger child being occupied by it, so I'm sure once she's outgrown it, her little sister who is on the way will get a lot of use out of it as well.

Sometimes, really cool things happen on social media. A while back, I posted about how you could get some coupons for Chobani Champions. I printed my own coupons and went to the store to get mine, but somehow, when I went to check out, I only had one coupon. I must have dropped it in the store and I was truly disappointed.

Mmmm...there is nothing better to me than climbing into my cozy bed with fresh sheets that smell like lavender. Listerine UltraClean, Listerine Whitening, Listerine Pocketpaks Review & Giveaway

One of the things we all worry about is keeping our teeth clean and healthy. Listerine has been in the business of this for years, but they have some products that you might not have seen or heard about yet. I recently had the opportunity to try a few out and wanted to give you my first impressions.

The first product I tried was Listerine Whitening Toothpaste in original gel. It says it whitens by removing surface stains and helps reduce tartar to prevent stains. Since I was already using a whitening toothpaste before I tried this one, I'm not sure I see a huge difference, but the flavor is nice and it works fine and does the job! It's at least as good as what I was using previously and that's a brand I've used a long time. Now I know I have another choice.

I received Listerine UltraClean mouthwash in Cool Mint flavor. According to Listerine.com, this is the most popular UltraClean flavor.

Also, according to the site, this is the ONLY leading mouthwash with:

• Anti-tartar ingredient for cleaner, brighter teeth
• EVERFRESH™ Technology for a powerful dentist clean feeling that lasts for hours
• Clinically proven plaque and germ killing power of LISTERINE® Antiseptic

The directions say to use it twice a day, so I use it in the morning and before bed. I definitely feel a difference. My mouth feels fresh and it stays that way a long time. It's a nice flavor as well--not too over-powering--but definitely fresh and minty and the flavor LASTS. Did I mention that?

It's also available in Fresh Citrus and Artic Mint flavors if you want to try a different flavor.

By far, my favorite product that I tried was these Listerine Pocketpaks. They're great to stick in your purse and freshen your breath while you're out and about. They dissolve instantly in your mouth, so there's no mess, no fuss and no gum or mint wrapper to throw out!

They're available in COOL MINT®, ARCTIC BERRY, FRESH BURST® and COOL HEAT. I tried the Cool mint, but I'd love to try the Arctic Berry next! I've tried them before, so it wasn't my first time using them, but I'd forgotten about them. Now, I'll definitely be picking more up.
