I recently received a copy of Bird's Eye View: The Natural World: See the World as Never Before. First, I have to say the book has some beautiful illustrations. It takes the reader on a tour of the world showing different animals, plants and more that live in various areas like the tropics, the arctic, grasslands and more. The colorful, detailed illustrations make the book. We had as much fun looking at the pictures as reading the book.
There are a few pages that pull out to give a full "birds eye view" of the areas being discussed. It was interesting to learn about the different animal and plant life in the different areas and held her attention quite well. While the book says it's for grade levels 1 - 4, my reading partner is only going in Kindergarten and we were able to enjoy it together. She became immersed in the book. She loves both animals and nature, so if you have a child interested in animals and topics like these, they will truly enjoy this book!
