(I received a party pack from Tryazon in order to facilitate this post. All opinions are my own.)
I discovered Wewalka European Style Dough a while back after seeing a coupon online. We like home-made pizza almost as much as any pizza place around. Making my dough from scratch can take a while though by the time it has to proof and rest and all the fun stuff you have to do with bread dough. I like using Wewalka Pizza Crusts because they taste more like a homemade dough than any other pizza crust I've tried.
That's why I was absolutely thrilled to be chosen by Tryazon to host a Wewalka Baking Party! If you've never heard of Wewalka, you're really missing out. Their dough is just what you've been looking for. They have several different kinds. We got to sample the Classic Pizza, Bistro and Puff Pastry. If you want to see all the different kinds of products they offer, head over to Wewalka's website.
This may be my next try with their dough. It looks so good!
One of the things I really like about Wewalka dough is that it comes rolled in parchment paper. All you have to do is roll it out and you're ready to go. It's already on parchment on your baking pan and clean up is so easy. I'm all for anything that saves time in the kitchen. While I do enjoy cooking, I don't enjoy the cleanup, so this is a plus for me.
(That is a well-loved baking sheet!)
We were able to use both the Classic Pizza and the Bistro crusts. The Bistro crust is a bit thinner and comes in a round sheet. The classic is about the thickness of how I make my homemade pizza crust, so it works great for us. It rolls out and fits nicely on a cookie sheet. You can press and shape it to make it thinner if you like.
Just roll out the dough, add your favorite sauce, toppings and cheese and you are good to go. The kids of course wanted pepperoni. This is the Classic crust.
We also used one of the Bistro crusts to make calzones. My son is picky and doesn't normally like pizza, but he loves when I make his favorite chicken, bacon, & ranch calzones. They're so easy to make with Wewalka dough!
We let the kids have fun at our party. They wanted to make mini cherry pies, so we pulled out the Wewalka Puff Pastry and a muffin tin. We let the kids do all the work. This would have made 24 mini-pies, but someone decided to taste the dough.
Here's another yummy pizza to make you really want to try Wewalka Pizza crusts!
And here are some cute kids because what is a party without cute kids?
