My kitchen is very small. Like tiny small. Because of that, I'm always looking for ways to save space in my kitchen. We've had a Keurig since they first came out and it was life-changing. We are no longer pouring half-pots of coffee down the drain and I'm sure it saves us money by only brewing a cup at a time. (We use the refillable My K-Cup and fill it with our favorite ground coffee.)
A few weeks ago, when I was in Walmart looking for a smaller microwave, I saw this Keurig ® K-Compact Single Serve Coffee Maker on an end-cap. It was a huge, hard to miss display and I was surprised to see they were only $59. We'd looked at the smaller Keurigs in the past, but you have to pour water in every time and we didn't want that. This one has a nice size reservoir. I snapped a pic and showed it to my husband when I got to the car. I was SURE he was going to say no because he loved his vintage Keurig so much, but he shocked me and said "Why didn't you buy it?"
Long story short, we went back in and bought one. It has a tiny footprint so it saves space on the counter, but it works just the same as far as I can tell. We do sometimes have to wait for the water to heat which seems to take a little longer, but really, it's no big deal. It's getting tons of use here.
If you've been on the fence about Keurig because of the price, this is a fabulous price. If you've wanted something to take up a little less space in your kitchen, this is a great machine for you. You can brew 3 different cup sizes. It will fit travel cups. It lets you brew all your flavored coffees and teas. What more do you want?
Oh, maybe you want it in red. They have that, too!
