If you're on a budget and throwing a birthday party, you know the extras add up quickly! Don't sweat it. When you're on a budget, Dollar Tree is the place to be. I've been hitting up Dollar Tree for birthday party supplies for YEARS. They have everything you need--table covers, plates, cups, napkins, plastic flatware and more--to make the day perfect. They also have great ideas for party favor bags, wrapping paper, gift bags and even balloons and other decorations. You'll save a ton at Dollar Tree and be glad you didn't go to the party store and waste all that money.
My kids always wanted specific character themes for their birthday parties. While Dollar Tree might not always have the themed plates and napkins that you want, don't let that stop you. Pick up a pack or two of the character themed items elsewhere and fill in the space with coordinating colored plates from Dollar Tree. For instance, I'm hosting a Minions party soon. I'll be heading to Dollar Tree(or just ordering online and picking up at the store) yellow table covers, plates, napkins and cups. It will fit in perfectly with the party theme and no one will know(or care) how little I spent.
If you have another theme, you can do the same. Spiderman? Red napkins, plates, cups. Finding Dory? Blue cups, table covers, plates. The list is endless. Dollar tree most likely has a color that will work for you.
Once you have your partyware selected and purchased, don't forget the gift wrap and gift bags. I always walk out of Dollar Tree with tissue paper, too, because you can't beat the price! Party favors for the goodie bags are also a necessity! Don't forget those. Sticker books are always a hit and I see Minions books that will go great in the goodie bags!
