WV Flooding - How You Can Help #WVFloods #WVStrong

I haven't posted many deals the past few days. I live in West Virginia and the majority of my state has been dealing with awful flooding the past several days. The flooding came on fast and many were caught off-guard. Places that don't normally flood have been devastated.

I'm one of the lucky ones. We had some water in our front yard that quickly receded and my sister's basement flooded a bit, but the rest of my family is safe and sound. Unfortunately so many around us are not.

At last count, there were 24 dead, including a 4 yr old boy who was swept away by the flood waters. That number could rise as rescue workers are able to get into the hardest hit areas.

Homes have been lost. Businesses have been destroyed. Schools are severely damaged. I don't know how the schools can be ready for the kids to go back in August. If you are local and want to donate, there are plenty of places to do it. Many churches, fire stations and community groups are taking donations. Check your Kroger. My Kroger has made it really easy to pick up things in the store and drop them in a donation box right by the door. I took a box of things in today from my stockpile.
