What I'm buying this week 4/29

 

This week's installment of "What I'm Buying This Week" is a little different than normal because I actually hadn't planned on doing a big shopping trip this week. I went to Kroger yesterday and picked up the last things I needed on the last day of the Mega Sale event.

Then I got a phone call this afternoon from a reporter from one of our local news stations  who wanted to me to come do a coupon shop with her. How could I pass that up?

The catch was, it had to be TODAY.

So I spent a few hours printing and clipping and scouring the Kroger ad looking for some deals. I'm sure it wasn't my best total, but we also bought a lot of items that were 10 for $10 to donate to the food bank. We saved over $40 on our total and what we bought was actual food that people we can cook and not a million rolls of toilet paper. We bought spaghetti sauce, spaghetti, Hamburger Helper, Uncle Ben's Rice, cans of refried beans and more. I know the food bank is going to appreciate this donation!
