I participated in the Madonna Rebel Heart album review program as a member of One2One Network. I was provided an album to review but all opinions are my own.
Anyone who knows me knows I am a major Madonna fan. I've been a fan since "Lucky Star" and "Borderline." I remember watching her perform "Like a Virgin" on the MTV Awards while talking to my BFF on the phone and we both gasped and said "Did she just sing THAT on TV?" I literally played "Material Girl" so many times that my cassette tape broke.
Oops, did I just date myself?
Anyway, the point is, Madonna is one of the few artists out there with this insane ability to keep herself relevant and reinvent herself over and over. She's still proving that in 2015 as much as she was in 1985! Her new album, Rebel Heart, is amazing!
I'm listening to it right now--actually, I haven't been able to stop listening to it since I downloaded it earlier. I'm having a hard time picking a favorite, but "Living for Love" has to be right up there. It's catchy and one of those songs you just want to sing along with -- at least I do.You probably saw her perform that one at the Grammys. "
Joan of Arc" is another I really like as well as "Body Shop." You'll even hear a throwback to "Vogue" on "Holy Water."
Madonna fans will love this new album. It has some catchy songs that will stick with you, but of course you know there are a few tracks that will push the limits. After all, it is Madonna. The new album features collaborations with Nicki Minaj, Kanye West, Mike Tyson and more, so there's a ton of variety to the songs.
If you've been waiting for something new from Madonna(or even if you haven't) you can download Rebel Heart on iTunes!
*Please be aware that this album does contain some strong language as well as references to drugs and sex. Of course, you probably didn't need to hear that from me though because you know what to expect from Madonna.
