Are you a new couponer or do you motivation to get started? Let me share something with you. Many years ago, when internet shopping was new, the stores were great about sending free samples along with orders. One year, I saved all my shampoo, lotion, make-up and perfume "freebies" and gave them to my niece at Christmas. She LOVED her little goody bag and after that, it became a tradition.
The past few years, I've been able to make gift bags at Christmas using the stockpile I've accumulated through my coupon shopping. This year, I had quite the haul. I was able to make gift bags for almost everyone in the family.
If you've followed this blog, you probably remember some of these deals. Most of this was FREE! Candy, deodorant, razors, make-up, nail polish--it's all stuff that everyone needs. You could use them as stocking stuffers. I choose to give out bags to family. It's not their ONLY gift, but it's a nice little extra that they like.
I used gift bags, but if you're creative, you could make a gift basket or shrinkwrap your gift. You can also add a gift card, gloves or a scarf as a little extra. I know this is too late for those of you who haven't been stocking up all year, but you can use it as motivation for the new year to get organized with your coupons and start building your own stockpile.
My stockpile is still pretty full, and I was able to get 10 gifts finished. That's a good thing.

I'm a member of the Snuggle Bear Den Community. They recently sent me a box of Snuggle dryer sheets(my favorite!) and challenged me to create a craft from the box of sheets.
If you know me, I'm not the craftiest. I've been known to call myself craft-challenged, so this was NOT an easy thing for me to do. I don't own a glue gun or most of what it would take to actually make a real craft, but I was still determined to figure something out!
I decided to make Snuggle Sheet Snowflakes! That just involved folding the sheets and cutting a design just like you'd make snowflakes out of paper. (Come on, you did that in elementary school, right?!) After that was done, I tied some ribbon onto my snowflake and hung it on my tree. Kind of cute, huh? And my tree smells good, too!
After that, I came up empty on the box. I knew it was good for something. A DVD didn't fit in it. Then I remembered I needed to wrap some gift cards. I decided to use a dryer sheet for "tissue" paper and put the gift card inside. Then I just wrapped the box.
I know my crafts aren't the most imaginative, but for me, I think they turned out pretty well! I know my tree smells nice and so will the gift card!
