I HAVE to share my new favorite thing in the world with you guys. I am NOT being paid for this--although if you click through one of the links and buy it, I will get a small commission. To me, this stuff is just TOO good not to share.
A few months ago, I stocked up on Pantene during one of the Mega Sales at Kroger. I think I spent about $.95 for bottles of Pantene and many of them had samples of this Pantene Pro-V Blowout Extend Dry Shampoo
attached. Of course, I grabbed as many with the free samples(which are actually good sized cans) attached because I'm just that way. The more bang I can get for my buck, the better.
My hair is thick and heavy. Even though it's above my shoulders now, it's a lot to wash and dry on a daily basis--especially when I'm in a timecrunch--so sometimes on day 2, it's not looking so great. I've tried other dry shampoos. I haven't liked them because they leave a powdery residue and eventually, my head starts itching. Not good.
A few weeks ago, I was grabbing some body wash out of my stash and found the dry shampoo. I thought what the heck and tried it out.
I couldn't believe it. There was no powder. It sprayed on damp. I worked it through my hair and just brushed it into my normal style. My hair didn't look greasy or dirty!
That evening, I didn't have an itchy scalp and my hair didn't feel like it had a ton of product on it. Maybe a little hairspray, but that was all. Since then, I've used it quite a few times and had the same experience.
I really like this stuff! The can also seems to last a decent amount of time. I've used it 4-5 times and it feels like there's probably half a can of it left. (Remember, this is a sample size can, not full size, so you'll get more of the full size.) If your hair is longer, you might use more than I do. Also, I don't spray it all over my hair. I spray the top and then flip my head over and spray the underneath and work it in. I admit I don't do the parting and spray sections like some of the tips and directions say to do. My way works ok for my hair.
I've also only tried this version of the Pantene Dry Shampoos. They have other formulas you can try, too.
I was kind of surprised at the reviews at Amazon, so I read through them. All the people who used the product really liked it. The bad reviews are because the can clogged up. I really have not had that problem with mine. I do make sure to shake the can vigorously before spraying it, but I haven't had that issue at all.
I just love the way this helps my hair look good even on a day I don't have time to wash it!
If you want to try a smaller can of it, Drugstore.com has the 1.7oz cans for just $2.99. Plus, if you buy 2 Pantene products right now, you can save $1. Your final price would be $4.98 for 2 cans.
