I've come to the conclusion that my Rat Terrier, Cooper, is the "Mikey" of the dog world. I know you remember the Life commercial with Mikey who didn't like anything! That's my Cooper. He generally turns his nose up at treats, so we stick with the basics. I really don't want to think about how much money I've wasted over the years buying fancy treats for him that he wouldn't touch.
When I received a sample of Minties for Cooper to try, I wasn't sure how it would go. I was a little nervous. He was excited to get into the bag though. He sniffed them out.
Once the bag was opened, he literally attacked his treat and it was gone in no time, too. Surprise! He really did love them! As for me, I like the fact that his breath smelled minty fresh a little while later when he decided to lick my face as a thank you. Cooper had no idea that he was actually eating a treat that was good for him! That's a major score because I never seem to be able to trick him with the fancy treats! He really hasn't used them long enough to tell whether they will keep his teeth clean and help get rid of plaque, but I'll take minty breath over doggie breath any day.
I also like the fact that these are made in usa dog treats. I don't have to worry that these are unsafe for him because they are made right here in the USA and Minties don't contain artificial flavors or animal by-products. In fact, they don't contain wheat, gluten, soy or corn and are vet grade quality treats that you can purchase at a reasonable price. As a doggie mom on a budget, I like that!
Cooper gives Minties "four paws up." I can already tell we're going to add these to our daily regimen! VetIQ has other products including vitamin chews and more of the best pet products for your four legged friends. Cooper is going to keep eating his Minties and I'm going to be happy that we've found a healthy treat that won't break the bank.
