Have you tried out the new Risottos from Bertolli? I was recently offered the opportunity to try them out along with a few of their soups. I've purchased the soups and frozen meals in the past, but since the Risottos were new, I was excited to try them.
The first I made was the Garlic Shrimp Risotto. My son and husband both love shrimp and they shared this meal. Nope, they didn't leave me but a tiny taste in the pan. That's ok because I was able to sample the other meals. The Garlic Shrimp Risotto had a creamy sauce and was chock full of shrimp. Bertolli certainly wasn't stingy when it came to the shrimp! I'm not talking about just 5 or 6 pieces. There was lots of shrimp! Judging by the way the guys around here scarfed this down, I'd say it was extremely good. If my guys don't like something, they just don't eat it!
We also tried the Roasted Chicken Risotto. As you can see in the photo below, it was also generously portioned with lots of chicken and vegetables. The serving below was less than half of the bag and it was more than enough for me. Serve these meals with some bread and a salad and you have a very satisfying meal. Out of all the meals, I think the chicken risotto was my favorite. The risotto was creamy and the chicken and veggies were flavorful.
Then we tried the Bertolli Italian Style Wedding soup. This soup was filled with Italian style meatballs, bacon, carrots and pasta. YUMMO! On a crisp fall day, this soup would really hit the spot! My photos aren't the best, but I wanted you to see what the meals looked like after they were cooked. See all those meatballs? This is a serving!
I'll admit that probably my favorite thing about these meals(besides the taste!) was that they were SO EASY to cook! You put them in the pan, put the cover on, stir a few times and it's DONE! They look like fancy meals that would take HOURS to put together, but you can do them in less than 20 minutes on your stove.
We still have one more to try: Bertolli® Ricotta and Lobster Ravioli in a Seafood Bisque. I have no doubt it will be just as wonderful as all the others.
