Cooper - The Pedigree Ambassador

 

This is my dog, Cooper--most likely the world's most spoiled Rat Terrier! Whatever Cooper wants, Cooper gets. He has us all wrapped around his paws.

Cooper is only 18 lbs, but he thinks he's the biggest dog in the world--just ask the mail man or UPS man! He likes to make himself known around them. In truth, he's all bark and no bite though.

We adopted Cooper a little over three years ago. He'll be four in July. When Cooper first joined our family, he was extremely skittish and not in very good shape, to be honest. His coat had been shaved very almost to the skin--and since he's an extremely short haired dog--he had very little hair left. Now, he has a nice coat and while he runs to hide when we mention the word "bath," he's really good about taking one! Rat Terriers can get skin conditions like eczema easily because their coats are so short. We've been lucky that Cooper has only had a few places a couple of times on his belly.
