This package came in the mail the other day to help me to review Stockpile. It contained a handy dandy booklet about investing, some information about Stockpile and a $25 gift card for stock in Facebook. (Someone knows what I'd choose!) I realized that a really long time ago, I'd signed up with Stockpile, but I'd never done anything with it. It was something I'd done on a whim, but then I thought "Ugh, this is complicated!" and never went back to it. When I got this package, I decided to give it a more in-depth review.
First, let me say, I know absolutely nothing about investing in the stock market. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. My husband and I have a 401k and that is the extent of our investments. That's not to say I haven't been interested in learning. I just never have taken the time to figure it out--or had the extra cash. I thought you had to have a lot of money to invest and the stocks I would like to invest in were always high value stocks. I mean $900 for one share of Amazon's stock is out of a lot of people's reach. I know it is out of mine. I don't have $900 extra laying around to play around with.
Then comes Stockpile. Stockpile makes it easy for people like me to get in on the stock market by taking away the intimidation that so many of us feel about investing. They even offer resources for those of us who might be brand new to the stock market. Even if you don't have that much to invest, you can buy a portion of a share--that's called a fractional stock--at prices starting at just $1. Dollar Stocks? It doesn't get much cheaper than that! I'm sure we all have a dollar or two laying around. Stockpile lets you invest for as little as .99 per trade. See? You really don't have to have a lot of spare cash to invest in the stock market. If this sounds interesting to you, go ahead and sign up. When you sign up through my link, you'll get $5 in stock to get started once you verify your information. Choose from Apple, Facebook, Tesla, or 1,000 others!

You can also give a gift of stock. How many times have you gone crazy trying to figure out what to buy your husband, dad or other hard to buy for people? With Stockpile, you can gift them stock and they can watch their investment grow. Give them gift cards so they can redeem them for their favorite stocks. You could gift them with a bundle of shares of stocks like Amazon or Apple along with other companies they might enjoy. Do they have a favorite sporting goods store, car, or even home improvement store? Add that to your bundle. Stockpile has over 1000 stocks to choose from.
What a great idea for a baby gift or for your own kids. I'm sure the kids would love to pick out a few of their favorite stocks and let them see how they grow over time. You can set up a custodial account for your children easily through Stockpile.
It's very easy to set up a Stockpile account. All you have to do is sign up and get started. You'll be buying and trading in no time. In fact after a few buys, you'll feel like an expert!
