I came across these My Life As Dolls and think they're a really cute alternative to American Girl dolls. If you just can't afford one or think that she won't play with one long enough to justify the expense, these dolls might be a great choice. The price is right(about 1/3 of American Girl Dolls) and there are some great accessories to go along with them.
