One thing that's a tradition at our house during the holidays is making Chex Party Mix. We make a lot of Chex Party Mix! Usually the person who makes it is...ME. My husband loves it. My son loves it. It's one of those things that seems to make everyone happy during the holidays.
I always make mine in the oven, but you can make up a batch in just 15 minutes in the microwave. If you need a recipe, try the The Original Chex® Party Mix or Chex® Ginger-Honey Crunch. I have a tendency to throw in what I have in my cupboards. I've made Chex Mix with cheesy crackers, Honey Nut Chex and other kinds of cereals. I put cashews in my husbands instead of peanuts because he likes those better. After checking out the website, I want to try the Snickerdoodle Chex Mix recipe! That looks yummy.
In addition to my own family, I also make batches of Chex Mix to send to family and friends who live far away. Chex Mix ships well. You don't have to worry about cookies getting broken!
Right now, Kroger has Chex at the lowest price of the season so it's a great time to stock up! For 3 weeks, from December 2nd – December 25th, Kroger will offer Chex cereal at their lowest prices of the year! When you combine the sale with coupons, you can do really get a deal! I know I plan to stock up. I'm sure my family will be happy about that, too!
Kroger and Chex sent me a gift pack that included two boxes of Chex and a $25 Kroger Gift Card through MyBlogSpark. They also are giving another away to one lucky Bargain Hunting Moms reader! This way, you can use the $25 to make plenty of Chex mix and keep your holidays happy.
To enter, leave a comment below telling me what kind of Chex Cereal you'll be stocking up on during the sale. As a bonus, you can also leave a copy of your favorite recipe that uses Chex cereal.
This giveaway will end on Dec. 12, 2010 and is open to US residents over the age of 18 Only.
*Disclosure*: Chex and Kroger provided me with the free product, information, and giveaway through MyBlogSpark.
